The Pre-sales Lead supports sales by conceptualizing appropriate solutions and documenting in the form of proposals/presentation.  Ideally collaborates with sales, development, and technical support resources to ensure proposed deals include technical solutions that accurately address customer needs, and are appropriately supported by key customer technical decision-makers.

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address customer requirements, assesses customers’ met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value for both the customer and the firm.
  • Coordinates closely with internal sales, sales support, and service resources to align solution design with customers’ business requirements.
  • Provides coaching and professional development to team member sales associates in order to enhance their product knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills.
  • Work with Head of Presales/Delivery Heads/Product Management and Marketing to help define / refine sales messages and ensure sales packages are developed and messages communicated to sales team
  • Ensure that the Pre-Sales resources evolve in line with the Marketing Message and Sales Teams stated requirements
  • Production of responses to Requests for information and Requests for pricing
  • Work with Sales personnel to provide product, business and technical knowledge in support of pre sales activities
  • Liaison with Product Managers (ERP, LMS etc) and Development team to understand details of product direction and design and communicate information back to sales organization
  • Responsible for understanding business and technical problems addressed by the products including key regulations, business drivers, evolving business needs etc.
  • Develop product centric selling strategies
  • Monitoring and managing the technical pre-sales environments
  • Product presentations and demonstrations
  • Support with technical qualification of sales opportunities
  • Provide answers to (technical) questions in a Request for Information(RFI) or a Request for Proposal(RFP) and Request for Quote (RFQ)
  • Build custom demonstrations
  • Deliver Proof Of Concepts(POC)
  • Support at external and internal customer facing events
  • Create internal software requests and POC implementation plans and monitor the approval process
  • Build technical relationship with prospects or existing customers
  • Assists with the qualification of the opportunities and/or identification of target accounts
  • Excellent presentation and demonstration skills
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Proven ability to multi task and prioritise under pressure
  • Self starter
  • Good listening skills
  • Fluency in English essential.
  • Ability to discuss and demonstrate business benefits and value to a customer of a technical solution. Ability to translate technical and business requirements into cost-efficient solutions
